In what can hardly be seen as a surprise, President Ramphosa has announced that he will sign the NHI Bill into law at 14:00 on May 15, 2024.

The Bill will be passed unchanged from what reached the President's desk in December, in a move which has provoked outrage from political parties, businesses, and medical associations alike.
