WHO Press Release 8th March 2024
The WHO has announced the release of ICD-11 CDDR, a new comprehensive diagnostic manual for mental, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
The CDDR is a clinical version of ICD-11, which was adopted by the World Health Assembly in May 2029 and formally adopted in January 2022. The new release is based specifically on the mental, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental disorders chapter of ICD-11. It is intended to equip mental health professionals and qualified non-specialists like primary care physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers with a comprehensive understanding of these disorders, regardless of their role in diagnostic assignment.
