A pharmacy group in Sweden has become the first to adopt Virtual Reality in its stores.  

Apotek Hjärtat  commissioned the Virtual Reality Simulation called Happy Place, for use in its clinics when administering treatments such as vaccinations.

The app runs on Oculus Rift and is designed to alleviate pain by distracting patients with a peaceful, interactive environment. It overlays imagery and interactive activities with an omnipotent narrator dispensing advice such as “breathe deeply’
